Sales Manager (LPG and Special Gases) – Johannesburg.

Are you a driven, technically skilled sales professional ready to energise your career? A leading energy and gas solutions provider is seeking an experienced LPG & Special Gases Sales Manager to grow market share in Gauteng.

With a strong focus on applications such as heating and process energy. This is a high-impact role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities in Gauteng, working closely with operational and technical teams to deliver customer-focused energy solutions.

Salary: R65 000 – R85 000 per month.

Commission: Annual.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in a technical solution selling environment, ideally within energy, LPG, industrial gases, or similar B2B industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in developing new business and meeting sales targets.
  • Experience engaging with engineering, procurement, and operations decision-makers.
  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical/engineering discipline.
  • Sales or business development training is advantageous.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand customer industrial processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to build long-term relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new industrial clients for bulk LPG applications (heating, process energy, fuel switching).
  • Growing the imported multi-component speciality gas mixtures and bulk ammonia markets.
  • Drive end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting and solution development to deal closure and handover to operations.
  • Conduct site assessments and collaborate with technical teams to design customised energy and gas solutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with growth targets for all identified products.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, present to key decision-makers, and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the LPG, speciality gas, and ammonia sectors.
  • Work closely with internal departments (engineering, logistics, safety) to ensure seamless customer onboarding and project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting via CRM systems or other means, as well as through regular sales activity reports.
