🕵🏿 Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our high-performing Enterprise Sales team in South Africa. This role is for a proven leader with a track record of dealing with ambiguity and delivering exceptional results in a high-growth environment. You will be instrumental in our growth journey by acquiring large-scale enterprises and ensuring their success. This is a full closing role where you are accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth.

Your Impact & Responsibilities:
  • Pipeline Management: Daily management of all deals, across deal stages
  • Deal closure: For our Enterprise Clients of a GMV of >R10million. 80% of your time will be spent on new acquisitions of merchants
  • Own the Outcome: Be accountable for achieving ambitious targets in merchant acquisition and net revenue.
  • Lead by Example: Work directly with merchants to solve their payment challenges and assist in their growth.
  • Set the Strategy: Along with the Head of Sales, you will develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team, managing day-to-day operations with a laser focus on performance against key sales metrics.
  • Build the Relationships: Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to the C-level.
  • Drive and understand the Product: Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organization to help shape Peach’s products and solutions to meet customer needs. Be technically astute in Payments in order to provide the best solutions for a merchant
  • Champion Our Brand: Participate in key industry events to drive positive market awareness and build our presence.
Competencies: What You Bring

We need a proactive, results-oriented individual with a proven track record in closing large enterprise merchants.

You should have:

  • 6+ years of sales experience with a strong history of reaching/exceeding targets.
  • The ability to seek out new merchants, manage pipeline and close deals
  • The ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders.
  • The ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms.
  • The ability to work cross-functionally to ensure the merchant gets the best service and solution possible
  • Experience in payments or e-commerce is highly preferable.
  • A valid work authorization to work in your country of current residence.
