Job summary

A prominent plant-based hair and body care brand in South Africa is seeking a Sales Manager. The role requires managing sales territories, achieving sales targets, and nurturing customer relationships. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of sales territory with specific reference to new accounts and existing accounts.
  • Follow up on sale leads in a timely manner and ensure all customer queries are addressed effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strategically manage your own diary in terms of journey planning, arranging appointments with prospective new business, or 'cold' calling / prospecting in areas for development.
  • Work with others in the team to achieve territory monthly sales targets.
  • Plan how to seek out and target customers within the sales region and secure new product introductions.
  • Conduct competitive Intelligence – reviewing, researching and analyzing competitors to ensure the company remains a strong force in the market.
  • Maintain daily contact with the team; regularly attend company meetings, conferences, seminars, and trade shows as required.
  • Prepare detailed accurate reports of all visits made and maintain and update reports on a timely basis.
  • Achieve set targets in all given areas and customer sales performance.
  • Manage all retailer / DC and other accounts with a focus on retention of current business and increasing product lines.
  • Key account management.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Relevant qualification will be highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior sales position in the FMCG industry (preferably in beauty/cosmetics).
  • Proven track record of delivering sales revenue via various methods.
  • Experience in proposal writing and presentations with excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong commercial skills including analyzing turnover and profit margins.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of sales pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of prospects, customers, and market dynamics within the Hair and Beauty sector is a distinct advantage.

Package & Remuneration
