Job description

An exciting opportunity exists in the Daisy group for a Sales Manager vacancy in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual with a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong customer relationships, as well as building and managing a team successfully with excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and managing a sales team.
  • Driving targets, strategies, and disciplines through the team.
  • Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans.
  • Driving and achieving annual targets, building relationships, and understanding customer trends.
  • Achieving/exceeding monthly and annual sales targets as set in budgets.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Business qualification advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of proven industry sales experience (PABX / OA / Telco / Hardware / Connectivity).
  • 3-4 years management experience.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proven sales track record in the office automation / ICT industry.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from initiation to completion.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Experience as a sales specialist developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mandatory).
  • Must have a clear criminal record.
