FINTECH client is seeking an experienced Business Development Sales Manager. Drive revenue growth, ensure strategic alignment, and foster a high‑performing sales culture. Achieve consistent growth in the customer base and national sales figures. Manage the activities of the Sales team so that new business growth is achieved. Supervise and direct the Sales team so that they are motivated and trained for optimum performance and achieve/exceed sales targets. Carry out negotiations at a senior level.
Sales Management: Define sales targets and objectives for BDMs based on company goals and market opportunities. Provide insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to guide the BDMs. Ensure BDMs strategies align with the company objectives, e.g., expand into new markets, launch new products, acquire specific customer segments. Monitor BDMs pipelines, deal closures, and overall performance. Provide guidance to enhance sales techniques, relationship management, and negotiation skills. Foster a results‑driven culture, provide incentives and recognition for achieving targets. Arrange training on FINTECH products, regulatory compliance, and industry trends (FINTECH solutions involve complex financial solutions/products that require deep industry knowledge). Oversee high‑value clients to ensure satisfaction and growth opportunities. Support BDMs in refining their approach to prospective clients. Encourage BDMs to explore new business opportunities/partnerships/revenue streams in the FINTECH sector. Assist team to adapt to changing market conditions, regulatory shifts, or technological advancements. Work with Marketing teams to develop campaigns and generate quality leads. Feedback client/market information from BDMs to influence product development and strategy. Collaborate with Sales Operations to develop and refine sales processes. Use CRM and Analytics tools to make informed decisions and predict trends. Sales Operations Management: Manage and monitor P&A L, budget, and financial performance so that the business is aware of anticipated costs and revenues, unsatisfactory performance and improvement opportunities, and deliver against P&A L targets to meet financial performance targets. Lead marketing and sales solutions activities in assigned market. Convert sales opportunities to wins and invoice. Track billings. Survey customer satisfaction. Advise on pricing schedule solutions to be applied during bid/proposal/quote development. Manage key account customer relationships in collaboration with Pre-Sales and Service Delivery Management. Collate details on pipeline/pending/actual new business and present against business objectives, targets. Ensure an in‑depth understanding of business strategy, growth plans, value drivers (revenue and profit trends), and risks. Take part in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans. Design and develop new solutions to grow the business. Play a consultative role in reviewing and developing functional plans and budgets that capitalise on commercial/operational opportunities. Provide regular performance reports to the Managing Executive and participate with EXCO in business reviews. Examine current operational processes to identify and implement potential operational improvements. Staff Leadership and Management: Manage the achievement of objectives, manage performance, develop and motivate team to maximise performance. Build and manage a high performing team. Define roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives. Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback.
Degree: Business Management or equivalent Management/Leadership Program or MBA or equivalent (desirable). 8+ years' experience in a professional services business. Demonstrated ability to manage, deliver and grow a professional services/solutions business. 8+ years solutions sales experience. Documented successful track record in selling high‑end services, and complex IT solutions. 3+ years' experience in managing a sales team. Strong business acumen. Corporate Governance experience.
