Job description

SUMMARY :

We require a Junior Sales Executive to generate new sales and manage the existing database of clients. You will sell the software and services for an IT company. Hybrid / work from home (Gauteng only)

POSITION INFO :

Minimum Requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or Degree in IT or similar (or currently studying towards one).
  • Valid Driver’s License & own car — available to travel in Gauteng at short notice.
  • At least 1 year experience in sales and consulting.
  • Previous experience with technology sales, customer account management etc.
  • Willing to work after hours to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and a clear communicator.
  • Basic to Intermediate Excel skills (able to do sums, formatting cell and simple formulas)
  • Basic PowerPoint skills (able to create a presentation from scratch)
  • Able to present PowerPoint presentations to a small group of people
  • Able to work remotely with minimal supervision
  • Clean credit and credit record

  • Duties and Responsibilities :

    Sales & Business Development

  • Generate leads via events, cold calling, and targeted outreach.
  • Execute sales processes and close new business.
  • Conduct demos, webinars, and presentations.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, RFPs, business cases, and ROI analyses.
  • Translate client needs into tailored solutions.
  • Attend conferences, webinars, and partner events (local & international).
  • Research market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Account Management

  • Grow existing accounts and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships with regular check-ins.
  • Gather and document client requirements.
  • Resolve customer issues and recommend solutions.
  • Manage renewals, quotes, invoicing, and true-ups.
  • Provide strategic consulting and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Vendor & CRM Management

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Attend partner webinars and meetings.
  • Log all sales activity in Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Reporting & Targets

  • Deliver weekly / monthly sales and account performance reports.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and KPIs :
  • New business and account expansion
  • Licensing renewals
  • Presentation / demo delivery
