Introduction

Sales Executive (FMCG) – Sandton / GAUTENG International High End confectionery company is seeking to employ an External Sales rep to join their JHB Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to Regional Sales Manager.
  • Achieve quarterly & yearly sales budgets.
  • Ensure expense budgets are not exceeded.
  • Maintain expected call rate of 8 calls per day.
  • Prepare pre‑call preparation and proper planning for each call.
  • Plan weekly, cyclical and yearly planning; weekly call cycle.
  • Set a Rand value target for each customer, including previous shortfalls in targets.
  • During promotional periods, discuss progress with store manager/owner; negotiate promotional elements including increased shelf space, eye‑level placement, price reduction, stock holding increase.
  • Monitor sales out of customer and report to RSM on Friday mornings.
  • Monthly reports on area performance, reasons for success and failures, action plans for under‑performing stores.
  • Use tablet to collate accurate data on calls completed and customers.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising partners.
  • Supervise, train merchandisers in‑store.
  • Maintain weekly contact with RSM; report non‑compliance to L & S RSM.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12.
  • Two years' experience in FMCG sales.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Sandton and immediate surrounding areas.
