Overview
We are recruiting for our client atWowcher (UK based company) here in Cape Town.
This is an office based position in Century City. Salary is R, - R, / annum + Commission depending on experience. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are not based in Cape Town or if you have previously applied for this position.
The business itself is a leading deals platform with constant investment in our brand driving an increasing share of the consumer market.
Responsibilities
- Build great relationships and work in partnership with new and existing merchants, creating the best deals for the business, our customers, and the platform alike.
- Develop and grow clients within the region through building rapport, gaining buy‑in, pitching and negotiating, and delivering excellent service.
- Actively call targeted businesses with the ultimate aim of signing fabulous merchants.
- Create excellent pitches, presentations, and proposals and negotiate to ensure a mutually beneficial deal is created for the platform, the merchant, and our growing customer base.
- Provide clients with relevant information, especially in response to inquiries about products and services.
- Continuously establish client relationships and build strong rapport to deliver excellent customer service and further develop the platform’s outstanding reputation.
- Meet weekly KPIs and monthly sales targets.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of sales experience (preferred, or 2–3 years of business‑to‑business sales experience).
- Confident communicator who is happy to pick up the phone to talk with both new prospective clients and those previously worked with.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to sell at all decision‑making levels.
- Smart, business‑oriented individual able to understand deal structures and price points that appeal to the consumer and negotiate strongly to achieve a great outcome for all parties.
- Interest in consumer trends and understanding what types of deals will perform best as those trends evolve.
- Brilliant objection‑handling skills, with the ability to anticipate queries and objections and the initiative to gather the tools and information necessary to turn them around.
- Self‑motivated team player able to exceed goals and revenue expectations, working on own initiative while building positive and rewarding relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
