Job summary

A leading educational institution is seeking a Sales Engineer in Midrand to expand their reach in South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia. This role involves selling electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment. Candidates should have a degree in relevant disciplines and at least 4 years of technical sales experience, along with strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English is mandatory; French is a plus. The successful candidate will build relationships with clients and drive sales growth while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Experience selling electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation equipment to mines, municipalities, and construction companies.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; French is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential leads through research and networking.
  • Develop targeted sales pitches and communicate the company’s value proposition.
  • Promote and sell equipment to clients using strong technical knowledge.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs.
