As a New Business Development & Technical Consultant at Advanced Cleaning Services (ACS), you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical consultation to clients. Your role will involve identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, proposing appropriate cleaning solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction. Additionally, you will comply with ACS internal KPI measuring tools to ensure optimal performance and meet internal Sales KPIs.
Own regional new business development across cleaning, pest control and hygiene services. Build and manage a live pipeline (prospecting → discovery → site survey → proposal → close → handover). Set and meet weekly activity and monthly revenue targets. Translate client needs into fit-for-purpose solutions and pricing, with clear scopes and method statements. Conduct site surveys with our Ops / Quality teams; document risks, standards and service design. Present proposals and negotiate commercial terms to close multi-site or multi-service contracts. Handover new wins to Operations. Track after-sales follow-ups, initiate invoicing details, and support client onboarding & product / service training. Report weekly on pipeline health, forecast, wins / losses, trends and client issues; recommend actions. Maintain accurate CRM hygiene and territory plans.
Proven new-business hunter with target achievement / overachievement. Solid understanding of service contracts, SLAs, pricing structures, and tender processes for comfortable with site environments (open-plant cleaning, CIP concepts, biosecurity).
Poultry / dairy / swine exposure is a plus. Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills. Matric / Grade 12; a diploma / degree in Sales / Marketing / Business is advantageous. Valid driver's licence; willingness to travel regionally and attend night-shift surveys when needed. High computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice to have familiarity with HACCP, GMP, ISO, Health & Safety, and food-plant compliance.
