Overview

Sales & Business Development Manager – Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid – Remote/Onsite, Full Time)

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and influence at all levels, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Lead product demonstrations and technical problem‑solving independently.
  • Drive growth on larger opportunities while optimizing price and profitability.
  • Accountable for delivering annual business results aligned with the company plan.
  • Negotiate pricing and margins using value selling and the flip pricing tool.
  • Build customer intimacy by selling customized value propositions and maintaining loyalty.
  • Provide industry insight and strategic partnership to customers on market trends.
  • Apply the H.B. Fuller sales process consistently across all activities.
  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities while managing forecast accuracy.
  • Balance time between existing accounts and new pipeline development.
  • Deliver timely reporting and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain EHS compliance and promote sustainability in all processes.
  • Embrace change, innovate and represent the company in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in a B2B, related industry (external or internal).
  • Successful sales/ profit track record (at least 4 of 5 years with a Positive PPA rating).
  • Bachelor’s or University Degree in technical, mechanical, marketing or chemistry (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (25 kg).
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, pricing strategy, supply chain and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, questioning/listening and communication skills.
  • Team‑player mindset with the ability to coach and mentor new sales roles.
