A financial services firm in Cape Town is searching for a Sales Associate to support the sales team in onboarding advisers and providing pre and post-sales assistance. The ideal candidate should possess a finance-related qualification and strong communication abilities. We are looking to appoint a Sales Associate for Morningstar Investment Management South Africa where you will be a member of the South African sales team that leads Morningstar's sales efforts for our managed portfolio and global fund range in SA to ensure we deliver our market-leading proposition to adviser firms. Working with the Sales team, you will take a collaborative approach to planning and executing sales actively to generate new business from prospects and existing clients.
You will also provide pre and post-sales support, to prospective and existing clients, to grow the business and AUM.
Your role will entail support across various functions within the sales team with a key focus on technical and client servicing support.
This position is based in our Cape Town or Pretoria office.
If you receive and accept an offer from us, we require that personal and any related investments be disclosed confidentiality to our Compliance team (days vary by region).
These investments will be reviewed to ensure they meet Code of Ethics requirements.
If any conflicts of interest are identified, then you will be required to liquidate those holdings immediately.
In addition, dependent on your department and location of work certain employee accounts must be held with an approved broker (for example all, U.S. employee accounts).
If this applies and your account(s) are not with an approved broker, you will be required to move your holdings to an approved broker.
