Job Description

Assess existing low-voltage overhead and underground networks. Design medium and low-voltage networks. Plan and implement sports field and street lighting projects. Support tender processes: compile specifications, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and contractual documentation. Evaluate and adjudicate tenders. Work on pumping stations, including motor control centres with telemetry/SCADA monitoring. Design and maintain building services: power, lighting, data/IT, access control, fire detection systems, and UPS units.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in electrical network design and site surveying
• Knowledge of medium and low-voltage electrical systems
• Experience with sports field/street lighting, pumping stations, and building services
• Familiarity with tender documentation, cost estimation, and adjudication
• Hands-on experience with motor control centres and SCADA
• Must understand Afrikaans
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience

Qualification:

• BEng/ BSc Electrical Engineering

Job Description

Design and develop electrical circuits in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Create and program PLC automation solutions customized for specific machines and systems. Conduct comprehensive electrical testing, commissioning, and system validation both on-site and in-house. Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring "as-built" conditions are fully recorded and up to date. Provide hands-on technical support during equipment assembly, installation, and operational phases. Support technicians and clients in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving faults efficiently. Travel domestically and internationally as required to oversee project execution and installations.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PLC automation design, programming, and commissioning
• Proficient in Siemens TIA Portal for PLC development and configuration
• Familiarity with other automation platforms such as CODESYS, Allen Bradley, Delta ISP Soft, or B&R is a plus
• 12 years of practical experience in electrical circuit design; experience with E-Plan preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and their application in real-world systems
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as project demands require

Qualification:

• BEng or BTech in Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering
