Overview

Birkenstock Stellenbosch is looking for a sales assistant to join our team. We are committed to the wellbeing of our team and work with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service & Sales: Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds, deliver excellent customer service following Birkenstock procedures, establish customer needs and use technical knowledge to demonstrate benefits, close the sale and secure add‑on sales.
  • Inventory: Replenish footwear, apparel and accessories daily, minimize shrinkage by zoning the store, acknowledge customers and follow Birkenstock changing room policy, ensure stock entries in the POS systems are accurate, process deliveries and customer orders.
  • Daily Operations: Maintain store housekeeping daily (dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing counter area and tidying change rooms), assist the manager with opening and closing the store.
  • Training: Attend quarterly training sessions, complete assessments, receive monthly feedback from the manager and set up monthly meetings with the store manager to discuss progress.
  • Merchandising: Observe the store and maintain stock presentation according to Birkenstock standards, replenish sizes, assist the team to change windows and mannequins fortnightly, store POS materials to avoid damage.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
