Job summary

SWAGGA in Gauteng, South Africa seeks a FTC P45 Sales Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, manage stock and support store operations. You will assist customers with product choices, process sales at tills and help maintain store standards and safety.

The role requires strong communication, resilience, and a passion for fashion. Previous retail experience and a Grade 12 qualification are preferred. This is a fixed-term contract position at the store level.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar retail environment.
• Computer literacy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Give high class customer service at all times.
• Process customer merchandise through the tills.
• Assist customers with product selection to increase basket value.
• Ensure that all new/replenish merchandise is on the sales floor.
• Ensure that all ticketing and visual displays are in place.
• Support the manager in-charge with day-to-day duties.
• Ensure store equipment is secured and accounted for.
• Be aware of health and safety rules.
• Understand daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.
• Assist with action plan to minimize stock loss.

The Sales Assistant position will also be responsible for providing customers with a pleasant shopping experience through product knowledge, stock availability, excellent housekeeping,latest fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses.
