Job summary

Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship and Partnership Development
  • Identify, approach, and secure sponsorship opportunities with corporates, foundations and other stakeholders.
  • Develop customised sponsorship proposals and packages aligned with the organisation's objectives and sponsors' needs.
  • Manage relationships with sponsors and partners to ensure satisfaction, recognition, and renewal.
Sales and Fundraising
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential sponsors, partners, and donors.
  • Actively promote and sell advertising, sponsorships, and partnership opportunities for events, campaigns, and projects.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, donors, corporates, and media partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors, providing regular updates and ensuring value delivery.
  • Engage with internal teams to align sponsorship activities with organisational goals.
Strategy and Reporting
  • Contribute to the development of the organisation's overall fundraising and business development strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in sponsorship and fundraising.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on sales and sponsorship performance against agreed targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sponsorship agreements, sales activities, and donor information.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in sales, sponsorship, fundraising, or business development (preferably in the NPO or events sector).
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales / revenue targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising tools (advantageous).
