The Role: Sales and Marketing Manager
We are seeking a results‑driven Sales & Marketing Manager to spearhead business development and marketing initiatives within the logistics industry. This role is ideal for an industry professional with proven transport broking experience, a strong network of contacts, and the ability to secure and manage high‑value accounts. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and shaping the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within the logistics/transport industry
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share
  • Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities in freight forwarding, transport, and logistics
  • Leverage industry network to secure new clients and partnerships
  • Oversee transport broking operations to ensure profitability and efficiency
  • Build, mentor, and lead a small sales team to meet objectives
  • Manage client relationships with a focus on retention and service excellence
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Collaborate with executive management on strategic growth initiatives
About You
  • Proven background as a Transport Broker with strong commercial acumen
  • Established network and client contacts in the South African logistics sector

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Durban-based or willing to relocate (remote work with Durban preference)
  • Highly motivated heavy hitter with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Advantageous: experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, and 3PL solutions
  • Advantageous: tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Logistics
  • Advantageous: bilingual in English & Afrikaans or Zulu
