A leading sales organization is seeking an experienced Sales Agent based in South Africa, specializing in HVAC and commercial refrigeration components. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proven sales experience, and effective communication skills. The compensation consists of a commission-based structure with a monthly retainer.

Overview

Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Sales Agent with a strong technical and commercial background in components for commercial appliances, specifically in the HVAC and commercial refrigeration industry, and secondly in water valves for home appliances, and gas and cooking components. The ideal candidate will possess solid sales capabilities, a proactive approach, and a well-established network in both the Distribution & Aftermarket segment and OEMs in the Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC sectors consuming our products. Ideally, the agent is based in South Africa. Connections in SACU and EAC countries are a plus.

Key Requirements
  • Proven previous sales experience in the HVACR, Commercial Refrigeration components industry (i.e. key companies in the industry; Danfoss (competitor), Sanhua (competitor), Embraco Nidec, Tecumseh, Cubigel / Huayi, Secop, Castel (competitor), Midea, Carrier, Daikin, Eliwell, Carel or others related, and also, secondarily, in water valves and gas and cooking systems companies
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant components and systems
  • A solid network of contacts in Distribution / Aftermarket channels and OEMs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working on a commission-based compensation model
  • Ability to manage and grow a territory independently
Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell our product portfolio to distributors, aftermarket clients, and OEMs
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers
  • Organize and participate in meetings, events, and roadshows for product presentations
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term client relationships
  • Work closely with our internal team for support, pricing, and product development feedback
  • Report on a weekly basis back to us: on customer visits, potential new opportunities (qualification and quantification), addressing customer requests and overall daily routines
  • Work based on KPI metrics: revenue, volumes, and new opportunities

Compensation : Commission-Based & Kick-off Support for 12 first months

Monthly Retainer (Support / Stipend) : R35,000 R50,000 p.m. (basic expense and opportunity cover)
