Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as their trusted advisor on their power solutions choice.
- Conduct in‑person, email, and phone consultations and site visits with customers to assess their power needs in relation to their affordability and home, providing guidance on power solution choices, and offering detailed information on how Wetility's product suite works.
- Understand the unique requirements and constraints of each client, and tailor solar energy proposals and quotes that meet their specific needs and budget.
- Present and explain the benefits and advantages of solar energy solutions to clients, highlighting cost savings, environmental impact, and long‑term value.
- Address key energy solution queries from customers and provide product training and guidance to customers, enabling them to navigate and leverage Wetility's platforms and solutions effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success Manager and other relevant Wetility teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from onboarding to post‑implementation support.
- Address and attend to all customer queries diligently, tracking required follow‑ups and documenting all customer interactions (with the assistance of the Customer Success Manager).
- Drive sales and facilitate conversion of Wetility's direct leads and channel partner leads by monitoring performance, suggesting improvements, and working closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of or assist with (depending on experience) one of Wetility's corporate channel partnerships.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and uptake and propose proactive solutions to address any risks and bottlenecks identified with the Wetility Customer Success teams and relevant channel partner stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Monitor customer usage and adoption, identifying opportunities for increased engagement and usage.
- Proactively educate customers on new product features, updates and enhancements such as ad‑on products, helping them maximize the value and benefits of Wetility's offerings.
- Attend conferences and related events to engage with customers, showcase Wetility's products and services, and stay informed about industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; additional business or sales qualifications are a plus.
- Fluent in Afrikaans.
- Strong technical foundation in electrical systems and solar energy technologies.
- In‑depth knowledge of financing models, regulatory frameworks, and renewable energy trends.
- Proven sales experience in solar or diesel generator solutions.
- Skilled in analysing energy consumption data and conducting energy audits.
- Proficient in CRM platforms and sales automation tools.
- Solid project management abilities, including cross‑team collaboration and managing client expectations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills; adept at engaging stakeholders across all levels.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision‑making.
- Extensive network of property developers and SMME clients is a distinct advantage.
