Job summary

A leading lighting solutions provider in Johannesburg is seeking a proactive Sales Administrator to support both Production and Internal Sales teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in administrative roles and proficiency in Sage Evolution. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, processing orders, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience working with Sage Evolution or similar accounting software.
  • Working knowledge of the lighting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Production meetings and provide feedback to sales.
  • Update due dates and delivery dates on Sage Evolution.
  • Follow up on pending orders and escalate issues.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to be the liaison between Production and Internal Sales / Sales Team.

The successful candidate will also assist with certain administrative functions related to the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend Production meetings and provide feedback to sales
  • Update due date and delivery dates scheduled by production on Sage Evolution
  • Follow up on pending orders and escalate issues causing scheduling delays.
  • Daily Overdue Report for orders that did not meet delivery date
  • Processing Maintenance Call Orders
  • Processing of Inter-Branch Transfers.
  • Follow up on orders requested by Sales Reps and Internal Sales
  • Interact with the dispatch department to ensure that orders are dispatched timeously.
  • Follow up with Procurement / Stock to ensure that stock is manufactured for invoicing purposes.
  • Assisting on Switchboard.
  • Communicating any business-related issues and concerns to manager.
  • Any other reasonable request from manager
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience working with Sage Evolution or similar accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of the lighting industry will get preference.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy, reliability, and integrity
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
