The Sales Account Executive is an individual contributor role within the regional structure, reporting directly to the Chapter Lead. The main goal of this role is to achieve financial targets through identifying and closing new business opportunities with new leads and clients. They are responsible for creating and maintaining account plans and keeping the CRM system updated with information on each prospect, client, and opportunity. Account Executives should collaborate closely with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding and acquisition of new business and logos.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Focus on lead creation, qualification, and successful closure of Tier clients.
  • Lead the sales engagement from identification through to service acquisition.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value enterprise clients.
  • Involve specialists when needed for specific aspects of sales.
  • Implement outbound strategies and identify opportunities through discovery meetings.
  • Develop solution proposals that address all customer requirements.
  • Manage sales through forecasting, resource requesting, account strategy, and planning.
  • Participate in developing, presenting, and selling value propositions.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements to close sales.
  • Maintain client relationships by collaborating internally and externally to sell and sustain account health.
  • Cross-sell within existing accounts, including complex deals and renegotiations.

Main Requirements :

  • Several years of sales experience in selling SaaS or CPaaS.
  • Experience in the South Africa region with a strong network of relationships.
  • Ability to engage and influence C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Skilled in value-based selling and building long-term partnerships.
  • Proven sales success with a track record of commission earnings.
  • Ability to open doors, penetrate accounts, and meet with stakeholders across decision-making levels.
  • Knowledge of Infobip and its competitors.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Resilience, drive, and self-motivation.
  • Highly target-driven, proactive, and competitive.
  • Ability to handle rejection, adapt strategies, and refine sales approaches continuously.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Business acumen with understanding of enterprise challenges, buying behaviors, and decision-making processes.
  • Ability to position solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
