Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a SAICA Trainee (Article Clerk) based in our Stellenbosch office. This position is the cornerstone of the Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) training path, offering unparalleled hands‑off experience. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Assisting with the preparation and auditing of financial statements.
  • Preparing corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Conducting accounting duties for a portfolio of clients.
  • Providing client secretarial and administrative services.
  • Collaborating closely with team members to deliver exceptional, high‑quality service to our clients.

This role is designed to provide the comprehensive and diverse experience required to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

Qualifications
  • Essential Have completed or be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree in Accounting (e.g., BCom, BCompt, BCom Management Accounting).
  • Essentials Eligibility to register as a SAICA Trainee. Strong technical skills in auditing, accounting, and taxation principles. Exceptional attention to detail and superb organizational abilities. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Afrikaans. A proactive, self‑starting attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Advantageous Currently studying towards or holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), Honours degree, or CTA. A valid South African driver's license and own reliable transport are essential.
