Surgo (Pty) Ltd in South Africa seeks an experienced and ambitious SageX3 Business Central Consultant to lead growth in the digital transformation space. You will own projects from pre-sales to delivery, engaging with UK SME clients and delivering end-to-end Business Central solutions.

The role requires deep design, implementation and support expertise, plus a passion for learning, collaboration and external stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional SageX3 Business Central experience with multiple full life cycle implementations.
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting Business Central solutions.
• Ability to estimate effort and timelines for delivery.
• Experience handling diverse client requirements across industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales activities with the Commercial Team, including demos and quotations.
• Scope projects with the client to capture wants and needs.
• Review client processes to design optimal Business Central solutions.
• Document requirements for accurate project plans and go-lives.
• Implement solutions and provide training during deployment (data migration, testing, configuration).
• Own tasks and liaise with clients; collaborate with team for delivery.
• Provide application support via the Solutions Desk and escalate as needed.
• Maintain positive client engagement throughout the project life cycle.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious SageX3 Business CentralConsultant to join our team and play a key role in executing upon our growth plans within the digital transformation industry.

You will be a seasoned Business Central Functional Consultant with a background in requirements gathering, design, implementation, and support of Business Central solutions for the UK SME market. You will take full ownership of all projects overseeing their successful delivery, whilst also remaining customer facing. The role will also provide assistance and insight to the Commercial Team to drive product adoption with clients and prospects, building commercial awareness within our teams.

In this role, you will need a thirst for learning, a passion for people and be able to work collaboratively to leverage and develop the knowledge, skills, and experience within our consultancy team.

What you\'ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis

• Work with the Commercial Team in a pre-sales capacity to provide demos and quotations and assistance with proposals
• Carry out project scoping as required and engage fully with the client so that they clearly define their wants and needs
• Review client\'s relevant internal business processes so that our optimum solutions can be designed/offered
• Document the client\'s requirements so that appropriate solutions can be designed, and accurate project plans can be produced with the aim of guiding the client through a successful implementation
• Implement solutions for the client and provide training and support during the implementation phase across the core Business Central solution including:
  • Data migration
  • System testing
  • System configuration
• Take ownership of all tasks assigned including liaising with clients as and when required
• Collaborate with other Business Solutions team members to work towards successful project delivery for our clients
• Provide application support to our clients via the Business Solutions Support Desk when required
• Act as a point of technical escalation, providing support to the wider Business Solutions team on support tickets where skillset and knowledge could result in a positive outcome for the client
• Be available to provide support to the client during the implementation phase of their project and respond in a timely manner to their queries and concerns
• Maintain positive client engagement satisfaction throughout the entire life cycle of the engagement with the client
• Work with the company strategy in mind at all times
• Take responsibility for one\'s own professional development, through continuous learning, to ensure that any contractual or partnership accreditations or certifications are achieved
• Collaborate with peers and other areas of the business to increase internal product and service knowledge

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• 3 + Years of professional experience working within SageX3 Business Central as demonstrated by having worked on at least 5 or more full life cycle implementations of varying scale in at least one of the following industries:
  • Finance
  • Warehousing/ Distribution
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
• Experience in design, implementation, support and management of Business Central solutions

• Ability to assist in developing accurate project plans, with a track record of delivering on budget and on time
• Ability to accurately estimate effort and time required from the team to deliver the solution the client needs
• Ability and relevant experience in working with clients with a diverse set of requirements across multiple industries

Desirable Criteria

• Experience using third party solutions such as Continia and Jet Reports
• Working knowledge of SageX3
• Ability to produce reports in SSRS
• Demonstrable user experience of Power BI or other business intelligence skills
• Previous experience of working in a pre-sales capacity
