A major mining company in Gauteng is seeking a Safety Officer – Underground Production. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety legislation and mine policies. Required qualifications include a degree in Safety Management, a Shiftboss Certificate, and extensive underground production experience. This role is crucial for maintaining safety standards within the mining operations.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• 3-5 years of underground gold conventional production experience.
• 5 years’ experience as an appointed Shiftboss.
• 2-3 years’ experience as an appointed Safety Officer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to legislation, mine policies, standard rules and procedures in respect of safety.
• Oversee safety issues in a designated area of responsibility.
