SA - North West, PotchefstroomR240 000 - R360 000 Our client in Potchefstroom is looking for a Safety Officer to join them.

Salary depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, particularly the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and associated Construction Regulations. Minimum requirements :

• Relevant Health and Safety Qualification required
• Registered as a Construction Health and Safety Office
• Review and evaluate safety documentation and project specific health and safety plans
• Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Investigate incidents and compile detailed reports with recommendations for corrective action
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety related activities and communications
• Strong report writing skills
• Thorough understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations
• HIRA, Legal Liability, Construction Regulations, Incident Investigation, First Aid Level 1 / Basic Live Support, Fire Fighting level 1 certificates (CERTIFICATES MUST BE VALID AND NOT EXPIRE UNTIL 2026)
