Introduction

Our client in the Engineering Manufacturing industry is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join their team in Randburg.

You'll be the champion of workplace safety, implementing and managing our safety programs and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Your expertise will be crucial in conducting risk assessments, leading safety training, and preventing dangers, accidents and safety hazards. The successful candidate will be qualified in safety management.

A valid driver’s license is required due to traveling requirements to sites.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Interpret and evaluate compliance with safety codes.
  • Develop, recommend and implement health and safety policies.
  • Co‑ordinate with all staff to discuss safety precautions.
  • Monitor safety inspection programmes.
  • Responsible for safety induction of new employees.
  • Ensure required registrations and licences are maintained.
  • Plan training on basic principles of risk management and accident prevention, including laws and regulations of the Occupational Safety Act.
Desired Experience & Qualification
