Job summary

SalesSourcers is seeking a highly motivated Head Coach to lead a prestigious rugby academy in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will design and implement training programs, oversee player development, and recruit talent while mentoring coaching staff.

The role requires at least 5 years of coaching experience, World Rugby Level 3 or equivalent, and a strong focus on welfare, discipline and performance analysis. Relocation support may be provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• World Rugby Level 3 or equivalent coaching qualification.
• 5+ years coaching experience at academy/school/club.
• Proven track record of developing young rugby talent.
• Knowledge of rugby techniques, tactics and conditioning.
• Strong leadership, communication and motivation skills.
• Experience managing coaching staff.
• Residency near Tembisa, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rugby training programs for varied age groups.
• Oversee technical and tactical development of players.
• Scout and recruit talent to join the academy.
• Mentor assistant coaches and guide staff development.
• Develop performance analysis and feedback strategies.
• Ensure athlete welfare and promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Lead team during matches and tournaments with strategic direction.
• Collaborate with management to set goals and objectives.
• Maintain relationships with parents, schools and rugby unions.
• Organize team logistics for camps, matches and travel.
• Stay updated on trends in coaching and sports science.
