The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RTO Compliance person to join our team in either Bayswater or South Melbourne, VIC, in this new leadership role. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring we maintain compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations, including those set by ASQA, the Standards for RTOs 2025, and relevant Training Packages. This role combines some leadership responsibilities with hands‑on compliance work such as undertaking internal audits, maintaining document control, policy and process planning, and continuous improvement projects. The successful candidate may lead staff, conduct audits, develop policies and procedures, support our admin team and trainers with their compliance expertise and ensure staff maintain accurate student records in aXcelerate.

Key Accountabilities
Regulatory Compliance and Policy & Process Management
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with regulating and funding bodies; conduct and lead regular internal audits, manage audit response plans and prepare for external audits and reviews.
  • Maintain and update the organisation’s scope of registration.
  • Develop, review, and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Ensure all training and assessment strategies (TAS) are compliant, up to date and reflective of practices.
  • Coordinate validation and moderation activities.
Leadership
  • Provide training and support to other staff on compliance matters.
  • Contribute to the Management Team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability; this role may also lead administration staff at various times.
Requirements For The Role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an RTO, preferably in a compliance role.
  • Strong knowledge of ASQA, and the 2025 RTO Standards.
  • Experience with aXcelerate is preferred – or a similar student management system.
  • High attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven leadership experience.
