Overview

In this role you will provide flexible, high-quality support across the Sales team by stepping into the role of Sales Consultant during periods of leave, peak demand, or high-volume workflow. In addition to handling agent requests and bookings, this role contributes to maintaining and raising quality standards across the department by supporting quality assessments, identifying process improvements, and assisting in the rollout of new workflows and enhancements.

Candidate Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, travel consulting, or reservations (DMC or luxury safari experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of itinerary design, costing, and safari logistics
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly and manage different agent portfolios when covering colleagues
  • Experience with booking systems, CRM, and quality monitoring tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an agent-first mindset

Candidate Responsibilities
  • Step in to manage agent requests during consultant leave or peak periods, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Handle itinerary amendments, costings, and updates accurately within agreed turnaround times
  • Follow established booking procedures for properties, vehicles, and activities
  • Assist with quality assessments of sales files and communication to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Support the rollout of new systems, processes, and tools within the Sales team
  • Collaborate with managers and peers to identify improvements and share best practices
  • Offer team support during busy periods and contribute ideas that enhance sales processes and the overall agent experience
