A leading company in construction is seeking a Rigging Supervisor in Johannesburg. The candidate will oversee rigging activities, ensure the safety of operations, and mentor learners and artisans. Qualifications

  • 5 years working experience as a Rigger.

Rigging Supervisor

Seniority Level: Mid Career (4 - 6 yrs exp)

Type: Contractor

Location: JHB - Eastern Suburbs

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Control Rigging activities, with regards to Rigging machines, Rigging equipment and Rigging personnel to ensure successful project completion
  • Control and coordinate all allocated site Rigging activities.
  • Deploy manpower according to the scope of work and production plan.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all relevant discipline specific equipment and provide proactive solutions to problems.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is compiled and maintained in accordance with Standard Practice.
  • Participate in setting up and maintaining QA/QC systems, work processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and review of Rigging studies.
  • Participate in the development and review of Rigging Risk Assessments.
  • Monitor and advise on the general safety of riggers including the awareness of health risks.
  • Ensure the control of all rigging equipment and protective gear.
  • Coach and mentor learners and artisans.
Requirements
