Retail Store Manager (Luxury / High End Brands) – POS25215
Location : Boksburg
Salary : R12000.00 – 15000.00 pm + benefits
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or higher qualification
- 2–4 years’ proven experience as a Retail Store Manager in a high-end store (Luxury items and High-End Brands and Products)
- Previous experience managing staff, including performance management and disciplinary procedures
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Willing to work retail hours, weekends & public holidays (with time off in lieu)
- Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills
- Solid financial understanding of retail profit drivers and expense control
- Excellent planning, organizational, and delegation skills
- Ability to work within a structured environment and apply company principles strictly
- Experience training and mentoring new or junior staff
- Strong administrative and reporting skills
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory management
- Effective communication with Head Office
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Operational & Store Management
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth running of all functions
- Complete, review, and submit daily reports (DMA)
- Conduct regular floor walks to monitor standards and execution
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
Staff Management
- Schedule and manage shifts
- Allocate and delegate tasks to team members
- Train, guide, and mentor staff
- Enforce company policies, including performance and discipline when required
- Drive staff development and succession planning
Financial & Administrative Control
- Manage expenses within budget
- Ensure accurate daily cash-ups and banking
- Monitor returns, staff sales, and gift voucher usage
- Control payroll submissions, HR reporting, and wages
- Manage ad hoc payments and staff discounts
- Monitor variable expenses to stay within budget
Stock & Merchandising
- Oversee stock control, cycle counts, and adherence to schedules
- Sign off stock received in the Goods Received Register (GRR)
- Ensure proper stock rotation, merchandising standards, and loss prevention
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain effective communication with Head Office
Customer Service & Performance Targets
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Achieve sales targets and monitor performance
