Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our retail store in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty, skincare, strong leadership skills, and a customer‑centric approach. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing daily operations, leading a team, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales & Customer Experience: Drive and maximise store sales, ensuring targets are met or exceeded. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing expert advice on beauty products and trends. Implement in‑store promotions and marketing initiatives to boost sales and customer engagement.
  2. Team Leadership & Development: Train and mentor a high‑performing team of aestheticians, beauty advisors and sales assistants. Motivate and inspire staff to achieve sales and service targets. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programmes.
  3. Store Operations & Compliance: Oversee daily store operations, including stock control, merchandising, and store presentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. Manage inventory levels, minimise shrinkage, and ensure accurate stock replenishment. Handle cash management, banking, and financial reporting.
  4. Visual Merchandising & Brand Representation: Ensure the store reflects the brand’s image and maintains high visual merchandising standards. Implement seasonal changes and promotional displays as per brand guidelines. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Key Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) required; additional qualifications in Retail Management, Business, or related fields are an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; sales‑driven with a passion for beauty and customer service; ability to analyse sales data and implement action plans; proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
  • Other: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. A strong understanding of the South African beauty market and customer preferences.
