Job summary

Sanlam Limited's SDM arm seeks a seasoned leader to drive strategy, planning, activations and sales effectiveness in the SA insurance and lending sector. You will foster a strong service culture and ensure regulatory compliance across teams.

The role requires FAIS RE5/RE1, CPD, and 5+ years in financial services with leadership and proven sales delivery. Shortlisting will occur after the application period ends.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) and FAIS RE5/RE1 compliance.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or FSCA-recognised qualification.
• Class of Business compliant per product category; CPD compliant.
• 5+ years in financial services with leadership experience.

Sanlam Developing Markets [SDM](a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited) is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans. In terms ofthe Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focusses on retail products, as well as group schemes.

• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) compliant Minimum experience requirements satisfied per financial category.

Knowledge:

• Insurance and Financial Sector Industry
• Comprehensive Long-term and Lending Product Knowledge
• FSCA and Prudential Authority Framework and Requirements

• POPIA, AML, KYC to mention a few
• Basic understanding of underwriting discipline
• Insurance and Financial Sector Regulatory bodies

Experience:

• At least 5 years recent industry experience of which 3 years should be in any leadership capacity.
• Proven track records in Sales
• Service delivery within the Financial Sector (Insurance and or Lending)
• Service Management experience is essential.
