Job summary

DO MORE Placements in Muizenberg, South Africa, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily cash flow and reconciliations across multiple retail stores. This hands-on role requires accuracy in high-volume transactions and strong collaboration with store teams.

You will perform daily bank, card, EFT and POS reconciliations, match and clear payments, and support month-end closing to keep accounts balanced. Own vehicle and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ bookkeeping/finance experience.
• Essential: brick-and-mortar retail (multi-store) experience.
• Experience with daily cashbook and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with POS systems and high-volume processing.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Attention to detail and discrepancy resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank, card, EFT and POS reconciliations across stores.
• Match and clear transactions (credit cards, EFTs, Ozow, online payments, etc.).
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with store teams.
• Maintain accurate cashbooks and financial records.
• Support month-end by ensuring all clearing accounts balance.
• Liaise with stores and internal teams to resolve queries efficiently.
