Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Retail Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple retail stores within a designated area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in retail management, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores within the designated area; ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards; monitor and analyze store performance metrics (sales, profitability, inventory); develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and maximize profitability; conduct regular store visits to assess performance and address issues.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and develop store managers and retail staff; provide ongoing coaching; foster a positive work environment; set clear performance expectations and goals and hold teams accountable.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure stores deliver a superior customer experience through service, product knowledge, and visual merchandising; address customer complaints promptly; develop and manage annual budgets for each store including sales targets, expenses, and capital expenditures; monitor financial performance and take corrective actions as needed; identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory processes (ordering, receiving, stock replenishment); monitor levels to meet demand; implement controls to minimize shrinkage.

Qualifications:

  • Retail Management diploma or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in retail management overseeing multiple stores.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations including sales, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on targets and growth.
  • Flexibility to travel within the designated area as needed.
