Job description
1. Purpose of the Role

The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a thorough understanding of Asian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management

    Manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain consistent quality. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

  • Staff Management

    Recruit, train, and supervise front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff. Prepare staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for long operating hours. Conduct performance appraisals, motivate staff, and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Customer Experience

    Monitor customer satisfaction and address complaints promptly. Maintain a welcoming, efficient, and professional dining environment. Build relationships with regular guests and promote customer loyalty.

  • Financial & Inventory Management

    Monitor budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability. Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplier relations to ensure consistent stock levels. Track sales performance and prepare regular financial and operational reports.

  • Marketing & Promotion

    Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the restaurant through campaigns, social media, and community events. Implement strategies to increase footfall and boost repeat business.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, dining culture, and service standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of restaurant technology systems (POS, reservations, inventory management).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
