Qualifications

• South African citizen or valid work permit.

Introduction

My client a leading international Franchise restaurant / coffee shop is seeking to appoint an experienced and hands on Restaurant Manager for their Cape Town store.

Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of the position is to manage the daily restaurant operations, to maximise staff performance and ensure increased sales and profitability. Duties will include staff management, daily rosters, control costs, ensure adherence to workplace safety and security, ensure food safety and hygiene, stock management, baking, cash ups and serving customers. This is a very hands‑on role and will suit someone with a strong customer service orientation, high energy levels, excellent communication skills and a can‑do attitude.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of recent management experience in running a coffee shop, restaurant or fast food outlet.
• Very hands‑on, including baking and ability to work in both front of house and back of house.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Strong staff management skills.
• Preferably have a driver’s licence and own transport.
• Must be able to work shifts, after hours, weekends, public holidays, etc.
• Fluent in English.
• Minimum of Matric.
• South African citizen or valid work permit.
• Excellent customer service skills.
