The Fountains Hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Restaurant & Bar Manager who will help be overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, optimizing financial performance, streamlining operational processes, and leading a motivated and high-performing team. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor daily sales, beverage costs, and labor expenses to ensure profitability.
- Participate in the sales of tickets for inhouse events
- Ensure the inhouse guest conversion to the restaurant is as per budget
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores (e.g., reviews, surveys) and implement improvements.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service, hygiene, and quality control.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
- Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant and bar staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Schedule staff effectively to meet business needs while controlling labor costs.Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing budgets, staff, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and scheduling software.

- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in Food Safety, Alcohol Service, or Customer Service are a plus.
