A hotel recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Reservations Manager for a hotel at Cape Town Airport. The successful candidate will lead the reservations team, optimize booking operations, and ensure excellent guest relations. A formal hospitality qualification and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required. Strong knowledge of property management systems and excellent organizational skills are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of hotel reservation systems, revenue management and guest relations.
Oversee daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
Manage reservations staff, including training, scheduling and performance management.
Monitor room inventory, rates, and availability to maximize revenue.
Implement strategies to increase bookings across all channels (direct, OTA, corporate, and group bookings).
Maintain excellent relationships with guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Generate regular reports on reservations, occupancy, and revenue metrics.
Collaborate with front office, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Grade 12
A formal hospitality qualification
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in hotel reservations management or similar role.
Strong knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and online booking platforms.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and revenue optimization experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays as needed.
