A leading healthcare research organization in Gauteng is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to coordinate participant evaluations in clinical trials. The role includes assessing cardiac illnesses, recruiting participants, and assisting medical staff. Candidates must be registered with the South African Nursing Council and have at least 2 years of research experience. WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives
In addition WHC offers a range of products and services to Academics
To coordinate evaluation of recruited participants in the different studies and assist other nurses in their daily work

To do study related duties as specified by the protocol
To assess and recognize cardiac illnesses in participants for clinical trials
To recruit participants as per protocol for clinical trials
To assist study DR and other nurses in performing study activities
Follow-up participants and study related activities at study visits
Collect specimens and process specimens for collection by couriers
To complete study documents accurately and timeously
Communicate routinely as needed to the study coordinator and Principal investigator regarding clinical management of subjects
Attend and resolve queries that are generated by data management staff
Do proper filing of results and any other study related documents in the relevant assigned place
Follow up of patients and scheduling of appointments
Grade 12
Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse
Good Clinical Practice Certificate will be advantageous
Computer skills advantageous
Relevant research experience
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse
2 years Experience in a Research Field as an Enrolled Nurse
Ability to draw and process blood samples
Ability to lead and work independently as well as be part of a multidisciplinary team
A friendly informal attitude with excellent people skills
Ability to speak in local languages
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to adapt to changing environment within the project needs
