Job description

Purchasing Manager or Replenishment Manager – George

Purchasing Manager or Replenishment Manager job position available in George. Salary between R15 000 – R25 000.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • 3 – 5 years experience in Procurement or Stock Management role
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be a big advantage

Duties:

  • Manage the entire store stock portfolio, including ordering (manual and auto RPL), KVI (Key Value Items) and linked ranges, aged and discontinued stock.
  • Identify causes of non-performance and take corrective action to improve sales, especially if stock related.
  • Monitor low stock levels through daily floor walks.
  • Manage margins to increase basket size and store traffic.
  • Manage in-stocks and Ad Hoc orders for all national and regional promotions.
  • Manage the weekly GAP SCAN process.
  • Ensure the store's CHAT system is operational for customer orders and follow-ups.
  • Monitor and report on margins, including negative margins.
  • Report on departments with declining sales.
  • Assess the effectiveness of promotions and store ranking within the chain.
  • Report on underperforming vendors or articles and suggest solutions.
  • Report on aged and discontinued stock and take actions to reduce it.
  • Follow up on parked direct deliveries and out-of-stock advertised merchandise.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with line managers on Key Performance Indicators.
