Job summary

A leading mining company is seeking a Reporting Specialist to execute financial reporting processes, including consolidation and statutory reporting. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance and 5-7 years of experience in financial management accounting. Proficiency in IFRS and SAP is required. The position is full-time and based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• 5 – 7 years' post qualification experience in financial and/or management accounting.
• Competent in International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Proficiency in the use of SAP and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Execution of financial reporting processes including consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements and monthly reports.

• The role : The execution of financial reporting processes including consolidation, period end close, statistical, statutory reporting, internal and external audit and preparation of Annual Financial Statements for Seriti.
• Responsibilities will include but not limited to : Implementation of financial accounting policiesMonitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting InterpretationsManage, review and process journal entries, accruals and intergroup service chargesPreparation and review of trial balance and general ledger reconciliationsExecutes the period end close processParticipates in governance related activities including governance reviews and internal and external auditsInterfaces with External Auditors and prepares documentation for auditors to useReportingPrepare Half year and Year end statutory reporting including external briefing paper submissions and governance reviewsPreparation of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with applicable financial reporting standardsPrepare internal and external financial reporting including RAC, Board, JV and Third-Party reportingPrepare general statistical and statutory reporting e.g. SARB & DMR statistical submissionsPreparation of monthly reports
• Requirements : Degree / National Diploma in Finance5 – 7 years' post qualification experience in financial and / or management accountingCompetent in International Financial Reporting StandardsProficiency in the use of SAP; MS Office SuiteIn possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of FitnessValid drivers licenseAdvantageous : Professional accreditation
