Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our technical support team.

The position is based in Hennopspark, Centurion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hardware, software, and network support to internal users and / or clients, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-line support to users for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup, software errors, and connectivity problems.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with IT policies.
  • Maintain and update inventory of IT assets and licenses.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and updates.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, and other network components.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
  • Document technical processes, solutions, and support procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security and data protection standards.
  • Assessment of label printers, scanners and other IT equipment related to the label industry.
  • Repairs of label printers, scanners and other IT equipment related to the label industry.
  • Stock count and stock evaluations.
  • Assist with receiving and packing stock related to label printers, scanners, etc.
  • Label pre-printing
  • Client communication regarding assessments, review, and finalisation of repairs.
Requirements
  • National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar IT support or technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking principles.
  • Experience with Active Directory, printers, and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with antivirus, backup solutions, and security protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid drivers license and own transport (advantageous).
