Sales, Business Development & Brand GrowthMaintain and grow strong customer relationships by calling on existing, new, and competitor customers.Identify and assess customer requirements, ensuring their needs are met or exceeded.Focus on maximizing rental opportunities (and sales where warranted) by championing excellence in service.Build and position Waco Modular as the preferred supplier in the industry.Continuously network with companies within the Waco Group to leverage opportunities.Identify and introduce new products / services in line with Waco Modular's market strategy.Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries that can benefit from modular building solutions.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate rental rates and terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction Draft and review rental contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure rental fleet expansion meets budgeted targets. Maintain a utilization rate above 80% by actively managing rental demand and fleet availability. Work closely with operations, admin, and accounts to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Confirm daily operational requirements, including deliveries, collections, swaps, services, and receipts. Coordinate the logistics of delivery and setup of modular buildings at client sites and ensure the delivery unit inspections / collection unit inspections are completed and signed off on delivery / collection.
- Ensure all rental and sales quotes are accurate and aligned with cost structures. Conduct quarterly unit inspections on all sites and submit required inspection documents to rentals and sales admin dept.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling queries and complaints within 24 hours. Build and maintain strong key account relationships, ensuring long-term business partnerships. Assist the debtors' department in following up on outstanding customer payments.
- Take responsibility for personal development and make constructive use of feedback. Meet and exceed monthly rentals & sales targets within set deadlines pile and update weekly and monthly rental and sales reports, pipelines and forecasts. Update quarterly strategic presentations and present updates on quarterly basis to the senior management team. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to optimize processes and service delivery. Align personal and team goals with the company's vision and objectives. Maintain timely and accurate commercial documentation for submission to rentals & sales admin department.
- Conduct in depth market and sector analysis. Conduct in depth competitor analysis. Develop and implement a growth strategy that focus on these specific market segments. Source, negotiate and sign new rental and sale business. Plan and set up appointments with identified key customers. Prepare proposals, quotations / solutions to customers with accurate costing. Follow-up on all proposals frequently. Identify reasons for unsuccessful proposals. Build and maintain relationships with clients within targeted sectors. Manage existing customers (From Quotation to Implementation Phase and Follow Ups). Achieve monthly rentals & sales targets and deadlines Uphold and display Waco's core values.
- Tenders: Be aware of all upcoming tenders for targeted clients per sector. Attend tender briefing sessions, Opening of Tenders and Debriefing Sessions for Tenders. Sourcing, costing and assisting with all upcoming Tenders. Where applicable delivering of Tenders.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Minimum requirement.
- Sales and Marketing qualification / diploma – Preferred.
- Proven track record & experience in rentals & sales and business development, preferably within the rental or modular solutions industry.
- Strong understanding of fleet management, utilization strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated regions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet sales targets.
- Positive attitude, high energy and motivational levels.
