Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Warehouse Data Analyst to optimize warehouse operations through data analysis and reporting. Work remotely from anywhere in South Africa, collecting and analyzing data on performance, inventory, and efficiency to influence strategic decisions.

You will build dashboards, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance in a growing e-commerce logistics business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in logistics/warehousing.
• Strong SQL and Python (Pandas/NumPy) skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Solid understanding of statistics and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with WMS and logistics operations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze trends and identify patterns in warehouse data to uncover areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to warehouse management and other stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure data integrity and the development of efficient data collection methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the logistics or warehousing industry.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R.
• Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Excellent understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics operations is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
