Placements24 is partnering with a forward-thinking leader in immersive sports experiences to hire a Virtual Reality Sports Simulation Developer. This fully remote role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing realistic VR sports simulations and translating athletic movements into compelling virtual environments.

You'll work with designers and athletes to push the boundaries of sports simulation, using Unity or Unreal Engine with C# or C++, and you will help deliver smooth, authentic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Game Dev/Software Eng or related field.
• 3–5 years in game development with at least 2 years in VR.
• Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine and C# or C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement realistic VR sports simulations using game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C# or C++ for simulation mechanics, physics, AI, and UI.
• Collaborate with 3D artists and animators to integrate assets for seamless visuals.
• Develop and refine complex physics systems to mimic real-world sports dynamics.
• Implement intuitive control schemes for VR hardware (controllers, hand tracking).
• Optimize simulation performance for various VR platforms with smooth frame rates and low latency.
• Work with sports consultants and athletes to ensure authenticity of simulations.
• Test and debug simulations to identify and resolve issues.
• Stay current with advancements in VR tech and game dev trends.
• Contribute to the overall game design and feature roadmap.
