About the Role Our client is a progressive international beauty brand seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Virtual Phytocosmetic Formulator & Product Developer. This fully remote position requires a deep understanding of natural and organic ingredients, botanical extracts, and their application in high-performance skincare and cosmetic formulations. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, developing, and refining new product lines that align with sustainable and ethical beauty principles. This role is ideal for a seasoned formulator who thrives on creativity, scientific rigor, and independent work. You will collaborate virtually with our global product development team, leveraging your expertise to create cutting-edge, nature-inspired beauty products. Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and stable cosmetic and skincare formulations using natural, botanical, and organic ingredients.
• Conduct comprehensive research on raw materials, active ingredients, and emerging trends in phytocosmetics.
• Create detailed product specifications, formulation reports, and manufacturing guidelines.
• Perform stability testing, compatibility studies, and efficacy assessments for new formulations.
• Collaborate virtually with marketing, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure product success from concept to launch.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers for high-quality botanical extracts and natural raw materials.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and optimize existing products for improved performance or sustainability.
• Stay updated on international cosmetic regulations and compliance standards related to natural ingredients.
• Contribute to product ideation sessions and generate concepts for new product lines.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• A degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in cosmetic formulation, with a significant focus on natural and botanical ingredients.
• Proven track record of developing successful skincare and cosmetic products, preferably in the 'clean' or 'natural' beauty sector.
• In-depth knowledge of phytochemistry, botanical extracts, essential oils, and their cosmetic applications.
• Experience with various formulation techniques, emulsification, preservation systems for natural products, and sensory evaluation.
• Familiarity with global cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetic Regulation).
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
