Placements24 seeks a talented Remote Telecoms Software Developer to join the engineering team. This fully remote position within South Africa involves designing, developing, and implementing software to advance telecommunications services and ensure scalable, efficient platforms.

You will work with Java, Python, or C++, develop APIs and backend services, and participate in code reviews. A Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years in telecom software are required, with cloud and container experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience in telecommunications systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language and related frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of telecom protocols (SIP, SS7, Diameter) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define requirements and design specs.
