Job summary

Overseas in Pretoria seeks a Tax Practitioner to manage the full tax compliance cycle for a simulated portfolio of small clients, including registrations, provisional tax, annual returns, and SARS disputes.

This long-term remote role combines hands-on tax with documenting steps to train an AI system, leveraging two full SARS filing seasons and eFiling experience for accuracy and teachability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a tax practice with at least two full filing seasons.
• Hands-on SARS eFiling experience including registrations and submissions.
• Experience drafting objections or SARS audit responses for review by a senior.
• Good working knowledge of SA tax laws and provisional tax cycles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IT12/ITR14 returns and DTR01, IT3(t) for trusts where applicable.
• Estimate provisional tax (IRP6) for companies and owners and advise on top-ups.
• Reconcile SARS payments and maintain eFiling profiles for clients.
• Document steps and judgments to train AI workflows in tax.
