About the Role

Our client is searching for a strategic and experienced Remote Supply Chain Manager to lead and enhance their global supply chain operations from anywhere. This senior role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience. You will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams across different time zones. This is a critical leadership position for an individual passionate about driving innovation and operational excellence in a virtual environment, based out of the Stellenbosch region conceptually but operating remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the entire supply chain to optimize performance and achieve business goals.
• Oversee global procurement activities, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
• Manage inventory levels across all locations to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in supply chain management , with a significant portion in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, global supply chains.
• Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory planning, and demand forecasting principles.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively.
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
